What version of mplayer?  The one that I see in 10.4/unstable (1.0.0pre6a-1011)
doesn't have a tag denoting it as requiring gcc3.3.

As far as I've heard, there is no prebuilt gcc3.3 option for Intel
Macs.  If you can get it to build from scratch, we may ask you to make
a Fink package out of it!
