The Fink home page has links to the mailing lists, including archives on gmane. The are also archives on sourceforge, accessible from the Fink sourceforge project page. If you google for "fink-beginners", you'll find even more archives, at least 3 others on the first page. > My goal was to install GnuCash via fink, which I have done > successfully, at the cost of Apple's X11 and therefore OpenOffice. The Fink FAQ contains a lot of information about setting up X11, ~/.xinitrc (in particular about not using /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc but ~/.xinitrc, and putting "source /sw/bin/init.sh" inside which you don't seen to have done), seting up gnome etc. -- Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
