I tried all the day long to install octave with fink. I didn't succeed. I tried to find a solution in the FAQ and actually I found something about my problem.. but no answer or I didn't understand. I alsop found an answer in (maybe) Chinese but unluckily I don't speak this interesting language. So if you have any hint for my problem I will be really grateful. Here is my problem, I installed octave with success but when I tried to start it I obtained the following message :
dyld: Library not loaded: /sw/lib/libsz.2.dylib
Referenced from: /sw/lib/libhdf5.0.dylib
Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap
And octave doesn't start....
I don't know what to do with it.
