Hi! I installed fink about a week ago and per installation instructions I attempted to perform a "selfupdate" and have been trying for the past week! It seems there is a problem with the binary distributions web site. I keep getting the following errors -
... Downloading the indexes of available packages in the binary distribution. /sw/bin/apt-get-lockwait update Err http://bindist.finkmirrors.net 10.4/release/main Packages Could not resolve 'bindist.finkmirrors.net' Err http://bindist.finkmirrors.net 10.4/release/main Release Could not resolve 'bindist.finkmirrors.net' Err http://bindist.finkmirrors.net 10.4/release/crypto Packages Could not resolve 'bindist.finkmirrors.net' Err http://bindist.finkmirrors.net 10.4/release/crypto Release Could not resolve 'bindist.finkmirrors.net' Err http://bindist.finkmirrors.net 10.4/current/main Packages Could not resolve 'bindist.finkmirrors.net' etc ... What is the problem? Regards. Stephen Ng ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
