Hi Gerrit, (Please keep replies on the list so that others can try to help.) I think we are talking about the same platform, dual processors on a G5.
1) When you did fsck -fy, did you do it in single-user mode? (I found that this was the only way it would help this particular problem--even if it said the volume was okay, it would still make a difference.) 2) When you tried to fink update-all, what was the error? (Please copy and paste the output, or post it in a file that can be accessed via the internet.) 3) If you try fink build aspell-dev, what is the outcome? (Again, please give us the output.)
