There is an issue with how the the OS version string for 10.4.0 is
stored (you didn't specify, but I'm assuming that's your current OS
version).  We didn't see this at first because this installer was
released after a few OS updates had occurred.

If you update your OS version via Software Update, the installer will
work for you.
