Since scid is the same version in the binary and source trees right now,
the issue is clearly something in the build process as it occurred on
your system.

If you "fink install"ed scid in the presence of a later version, it's
not inconceivable that some crosstalk with your installed version
occurred during the build, especially if it was installed in /usr/local.

I'll cc the maintainer, as he is the person nominally responsible for
making sure the package works properly.
