"fink -info maxima" gives a hint :-), namely `-nox' means "no X(11)", i.e. no X11 gui (but instead an aqua-based gui). `-nox' is used for several packages to signal absence of an X11 gui. joerg > > The second question is that one of the dependencies of Maxima is clisp > 2.41-1 or newer.
