It's from http://www.finkproject.org/doc/bundled/install-first.php#req Ok, I tried to install it from source (0.27.3). Untarred it, and started the bootstrap process which failed: dpkg-deb -b root-debianutils-1.23-11 /sw/fink/10.5/stable/main/binary- darwin-i386/base dpkg-deb: building package `debianutils' in `/sw/fink/10.5/stable/main/ binary-darwin-i386/base/debianutils_1.23-11_darwin-i386.deb'. dpkg -i /sw/fink/dists/stable/main/binary-darwin-i386/base/ debianutils_1.23-11_darwin-i386.deb Selecting previously deselected package debianutils. Fink complains several times that my Mac OS version was not released when this version of fink was released. Another question: The INSTALL doc has a chapter: Getting X11 Sorted Out. Is it not possible to use the included X from Mac OS? Thanks, Florian ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
