Hello,

I'm reinstalling fink to move from the 0.8.0 distribution to the
0.8.1 distribution, since it's mature for Mac OS 10.4 (I'm running
10.4.11). When I download the current tarball and start reading the
install docs, I see this:

Start out by copying the "fink-0.8.1-full.tar.gz" file to your home folder.
(Note: If you have OS X 10.4 and XCode 2.1, you should use
"fink-0.8.0-full-XCode-2.1.tar.gz" instead, and make the appropriate changes
below.)

The reference to an older version of fink, 0.8.0, is confusing to me.
Does that mean, "If you have OS X 10.4 and you are still using XCode
Tools 2.1, rather than 2.3, you should stay at fink version 0.8.0"?
Do I need XCode Tools version 2.3 (or some later version, though
Apple's website leads me to think that's the most recent version
there is for Tiger) in order to run fink 0.8.1? Or are these
outdated install docs, and should I carry on with the install of fink
0.8.1?

Thanks for your help,

--Sarah
