It may well not be that. It could be another error that short-
circuits the build of the libfltk_gl libraries. Are there any other
errors of any sort?

Unfortunately, that's _not_ the relevant portion. This sort of
thing happens enough that it's in the FAQ:

You'll need to look through the build output and see if you can find
another error earlier on. You may want to try another build using
the -l flag (fink -l rebuild fltk-x11) to capture a log.
