Try installing the dependent packages individually so that we can 
eliminate those that _don't_ produce the circular dependency, and figure 
out which one does.  Since we've been having problems with graphviz, you 
might try installing the binary distribution's version of that first:

sudo apt-get install graphviz=1.16-1013
