Right, but it doesn't happen all of the time: I had 755 permissions on one of my computers, and the installer was OK, whereas on another computer I had the error and had to change them to 775. It might be the case that this only occurs when there is a receipt for a prior Fink install. The machine where I didn't have a problem was brand new when I installed Fink, whereas on the other one I had moved my Fink tree out of the way to test the installer out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [email protected] http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.apple.fink.beginners
