I'm trying to get a recent version of gimp installed on an OSX 10.5
machine, so I installed fink. By default it seemed to provide only a
fairly old version, and it looks like I need to build from source. So I
installed the Xcode 2.5 Developer Tools.
"fink install gimp2" still doesn't work; I'm guessing I need to switch
to the rsync method. But fink selfupdate-rsync says
Failed: Before changing your selfupdate method to 'rsync', you
must install XCode, ...
I notice the Xcode install seems to have dumped everything to /Xcode2.5,
which doesn't seem to be in my path, so just as a shot in the dark I
tried an "export PATH="$PATH:/Xcode2.5/usr/bin/" before running
selfupdate-rsync again, with no luck.
Any ideas what else I need to do?
