I don't know. There is an awful lot of stuff in the PATH variable that ends up *before* /sw/bin, for example the macports directories and some user directories with unknown contents. But how this could produce the result we have been seeing, I cannot imagine. But then I can still not imagine *anything* to produce the effect we have seen, namely an existing fink-0.28.5 package description apparently being ignored by the installed fink-0.27.16. I still would have liked to see whether running "fink list fink" while that ~/.cshrc was moved out of the way gives a different result. Also fink dumpinfo fink would perhaps reveal some useful informations. -- Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [email protected] http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.apple.fink.beginners
