I forgot to mention we used the fink Intel installation.

Hi,
I really really hope some compassionate soul answer to this. I am trying to
install bioperl in a Mac machine of a colleague (third time I try), knowing
nothing about Macs.
Fink gets stuck with the question "Do you want to continue?" and no window pops
up to enter the answer. Here is the whole message:

FYI, I started with
1) Source->scanpackages followed by Source->Utilities->index
2) To update Fink packages from the Fink Commander:
Source->Selfupdate
Tools->Interact with Fink...
Make sure "Accept default response" is selected, and click "Submit".
fink and other base packages will be built and run automatically
3) To install Bioperl, select the BioPerl package from the list and use
Source->Install
No luck!
