Hi there,

The php5-cli still lacks in extension support in the recent 5.2.6
package. I just compiled the pecl pdflib and it worked in Apache but
not in cli.

It seems an error during the PHP configure. There is an issue in the
sf tracker with some hints (I just don't know if will help):
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2102214&group_id=17203&atid=117203

The MacPorts package had problems with this (apparently, I am not an
user): http://pecl.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=11667&edit=1

When I was configuring the pdflib, the default Apple php was being
used (/usr/bin/php /usr/bin/phpize and /usr/bin/phpconfig). I moved
these and my compilation went without problems. Would be this the
source of problem?

As a quick test, I compiled php 5.2.9 in Debian Lenny, with the same
config as /sw/bin/php-config5 and the php-cli don't had any problems
to load the modules. Maybe a compiler flag?

php-cli is critical for tools like phing and phpunit and it would be
good to fix this issue. As I prefer deb packages (oh my Debian!), I
just can't switch to MacPorts.

Thanks,
Eriksen
