Or prior version didn't work at all initially on 10.5, so it's a little
less well-established there.

The issues are really:

1) Are all of the dependencies present already in stable?  I'm not sure
of the answer here.
2) Does the (busy) maintainer want to move it over?  Often maintainers
are completely content to leave packages in unstable unless users or
developers from the project give them encouragement to do so.
