I have not yet upgraded my Fink installation for Snow Leopard, in part because I can't make up mind whether to stick with 32 bit or make the move to 64. I understand that there are at present more packages available for 32 bit fink than 64 bit. The issue for me is which packages have been upgraded to 64 bit. Is there a way to obtain a list? The package descriptions I've found on Fink's web site only range from 10.3 through 10.5, not 10.6, let alone indicate whether they are 64 or 32 bit.
