Hmm, I also have (in the 10.4-unstable tree):

i   system-java-dev                      1.5.0-1

I wonder if libidn needs to depend on:
system-java-dev (>= 1.5.0-1)

instead of:
system-java-dev (>= 1.5-1)

... but I don't know.

$ /usr/bin/java -version
java version "1.5.0_19"

As far as I know, that's the newest java on 10.4.
