- -mac uses the Aqua window manager, whereas -x11 uses X11, and therefore its windows can be forwarded onto other X11 displays, etc. > 2. However, kde4-mac is known not to work on 10.6 currently, but the bundle package didn't get marked accordingly. This has now been rectified. > > 3. In the debian case it was always safe to fall back to debian.org - > there all the packets were existing, is there an option like this here? Fink isn't Debian, so things are different. Switching your mirror settings under "fink configure" to "use Master mirrors first" will generally download packages immediately, as long as they aren't new to the distribution or have a restrictive licence that forbids our mirroring of them. In the latter two cases the download will fail and you'll have to go to the original source URL. > > Thanks in advance, > Ivan > > P.S.
