I recently upgraded to Lion. I installed the latest Developer Tools and then re-installed fink from scratch. All went smoothly.
Two problems: 1. where is cvs? I think it used to be installed as part of Developer Tools -- indeed, the fink FAQ implies as much -- but it's not installed on my system. [I still need cvs for a couple of projects unrelated to fink.] 2. After my Lion upgrade, I migrated to a new laptop. Now fink is broken: > [DFK:~] fink selfupdate > Password: > WARNING: you have an incomplete X11 installation. > See http://finkproject.org/faq/usage-packages.php#special-x11-debug for > details on repairing it. > Before changing your selfupdate method to 'rsync', you must install Xcode, > available on your original OS X install disk, or from > http://connect.apple.com (after free registration). > Failed: Selfupdate method 'rsync' cannot be used > [DFK:~] I don't use X11 at all. The instructions on the link provided by fink are way out of date. What's the appropriate next step?
