Hallo fellows. I would like to release the following text to the bigger websites:
I know that is sounds rather awkward, but since I really have nothing to write about I had to come up with something, please do correct it. Thanks
Sorry I didn't see this before.

On December 8th the Fink project took another step toward its preliminary goal. Bringing the diversity and multitude of unix based software to the Mac OS X operating system. With the release of Mac OS X 10.2 a lot of the internal structure the Fink project relied on changed and the work trhat had been done for Mac OS X 10.1 could not be used fully anymore. This updated version works on Mac OS X 10.2 including many packages those familiar with operating systems like Linux or FreeBSD know, such as The GiMP. Even window manager such as the K Desktop Environment have found their way into the fink package repository with others working on ports for GNOME.
Over 700 binary packages for Mac OS X as well as over 1800 source packages have been prepared to now work flawlessly with the latest operating system release by Apple Inc.
For those who have not used the Fink projects software yet a new installer has been created which can be found <a href="http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/fink/Fink-0.5.0a- Installer.dmg">here</a>. Existing Fink users may upgrade their installation and read about the <a href="http://fink.sourceforge.net/download/upgrade.php";>procedure</a> to learn more.

Fink is a project made up of volunteers, the work provided to the community is not payed for by anyone therefore it is much appreciated when those who use the Fink project support it. This includes bug reports, packages that might have been ported or simple documentation updates. More about the Fink project can be found on the Fink project <a href="http://fink.sf.net";>homepage</a>.
This seems fine, however, we also need a second shortened version, e.g. on the SF.net page I am relucant to put long news - better something short & crisp which then points to the full announcment.

IMO it needs some serious editing. I will fix it up..

-Ben
