Dear Sirs & Madams,

till recently I had a developer account on Versiontracker (with this email address, [EMAIL PROTECTED]), and also the "Fink" entry was assigned to me (indeed, I am one of the project leader of the Fink project). For the last 1-2 updates, you were faster than me to update the entry so I didn't change them. Now I had to make some vital changes to your modified entry of Fink (it seems you are updating product entries automatically without notice to the product owners?). For example, it is vital to put a notice in there that the download URL the entry points at is *only* for people that do not have Fink installed yet, it is not suitable to update an existing installation.

However, when I tried to login, I discovered that apparently my account was deleted - I have no idea why. Adding in that in the past you two times product entries of mine were deleted without notice, I feel a bit irritated...

Could you please inform me how I can avoid having my data deleted, seemingly at random? I plan to try one last time and re-create my VT developer account and take ownership of Fink once more (with email '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'). Please understand that it is vital for us that we can correct the description ourselves, as the current one will cause people to loose data as it is incomplete. If we can't perform these corrections, it is probably preferable for us not to be listed at all. That's not meant as a threat (it would be a rather pointless one), just stating the facts.

With regards,

Max Horn
Fink project lead.
