The GPL is allread accepted as license model, it would simply make the whole filed more precise if we could specify the major version as well.Although I agree with David, that general suggestions and requests should be mailed to the mailing list. Not only that, but the docs explicitly state that discussion on adding any new licenses should happen on the list. =)
