I would assume that the reason he forwarded to the list is because he wanted to discuss the need to explicitly add GPL2. I don't see any reason we need to have it as a choice, it seems as if the list of licenses is purposfully broad so as not to have to list every license type in existence.

Not only that, but the docs explicitly state that discussion on adding any new licenses should happen on the list. =)

Oh, and by the way, your reponses are still getting messed up by pgp-mime, it seems. I had to open up the text of your mail as an attachment again. :P
