I actually run into this situation from time to time at work and what I
find to be a reasonable solution most of the time is to install the whole
thing into, say, lib/aolserver or something of that nature, and then write
wrapper scripts to put in bin that properly access the lib directory
pieces.  I don't know if that's useful at all for this package or not.
