The 10.4 bindist is ready for testing. I would appreciate testing reports being posted here, particularly if you are testing on intel hardware.

To test (assuming that you are using the 10.4 tree already):
 1)  make sure that apt is installed
2) update fink to version 0.24.15 (now available in the unstable tree). If you don't wish to switch to unstable, you can run "fink selfupdate" and then copy fink.info from /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/ finkinfo/base to /sw/fink/dists/local/main/finkinfo. Once fink.info is in the right place, "fink update fink" will give you the new version. 3) As the new version installs, be sure to answer "yes" to the question "Use binary when available?"
  4)  Run "fink scanpackages" followed by "sudo apt-get update".

You should now be ready to test: fink will install binary files from the new bindist when they are available.

Please report both positive and negative results to the list.
