Not sure if it counts as a warning, but I always find it ominous if
Fink asks me any question about xorg (especially on a machine where I
don't have two weeks available to compile it). RangerRick explained it
to me and I'm sure I missed the finer points of his explanation, but I
think you're allowed to shoot yourself in the foot this way so that
you can run Apple's X11 server and the x.org client libraries.

Since it was relevant for me (I killed the update while Fink was doing
something with the xorg packages), here's the FAQ entry that helped me
get back on track after installing X11SDK:
