Earlier today I came accross a problem with the "fink
validate" command (a call to an undefined Perl
subroutine). When I checked against CVS, fink (the
manager) files on my system were not "current".

According to the man page, "fink selfupdate-cvs"
updates fink (the tool) and Fink (the package tree)
but this seems not to be the case. Is manual CVS
update the recommended (only) method to have both
"finks" in sync with current versions on CVS?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. sorry if it's an obvious question. Checked most
documentation available thru the website but can't
seem to find an answer.
