Yeah, it seems they broke the --delete flag.
Update: Jordan Hubbard answered on darwin-dev that he will look after this personally (although he said he hadn't seen this error while he used the new version of rsync). So I guess we shall see some activity once those Californians come back from their morning swim ;-)
