sdl-ttf has a fundamental flaw: it doesn't depend on any source of freetype2, and so when one tries to build it:
checking for freetype-config... no configure: error: *** Unable to find FreeType2 library (http://www.freetype.org/) One of the packages in the submissions queue http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1481473&group_id=17203&atid=414256 depends on sdl-ttf, but _not_ X11 (this is an Aqua version), and also depends on freetype219. I wanted to know whether this package should be: 1) variantized with an -ft219 variant for wesnoth-devel and other ft219-using packages, and with another variant that depends on x11 & shlibs instead 2) make this package -just- depend on freetype219 -- Alexander K.
