Thanks for the feedback--that's how packages get moved.

Whether or not the upstream developer calls them their "stable"
release isn't really that relevant for Fink; we have our own set of
criteria to move a package to stable, including that every one of its
dependencies must also be there.  (which is probably not a problem in
this case)
