Bill,
Moving the current gcc4 in unstable into stable is
a really bad idea. It is based on a totally bogus
snapshot from gcc trunk. The libgfortran and java
shared libs have had their .so version numbers
bumped since. Frankly if we go that route someone
else will have to take over gcc4 because I won't
attempt to create unofficial bastardized gcc4
releases based on early snapshots. It was a bad
idea then and its even more of a bad idea today.
