True. I hadn't understood that the alternative was to list all packages before any question was asked. In fact, I see now that I have never ever used the further menu options "By section", "By package", "Search" in the "Packages" menu, only the default "Introduction" with its "Search for package" form and the links, like the link to the complete list of packages and to the sections (plus grep on my hard disk). Have they always been there like this and doing what they are doing now or is that already part of the new scheme? Speaking as a user, I would rather opt for dumping these menu options and replacing them by the new search form, accessible via a new button "Advanced search" on the pdb main page. -- Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
