I've worked up packaging for ncarg under
Leopard using gfortran but the resulting build
won't work properly. This is because gfortran
suffers a regression from g77 in supporting
compatible block data initialization...

I'm not sure if this (when fixed) will be backported
to gcc 4.2.2 so we may have to wait for gcc 4.3
which is slated for a Spring release.
