Problem solved - I have it working.
To the ConfigureParams section of the info file I added:
LDFLAGS="-dylib_file
/System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib:/System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib"
