Hello, I was checking out the fink bug tracker on sourceforge (linked off the finkproject.org front page), searching for info about a few favorite packages. I'm wondering if people really think it's worth using? The volume on it is surprisingly low... maybe just because the response on the mailing lists is so good. Problems really seem to get solved in the lists.
For comparison: fink has 8000+ packages, ~150 open items on the tracker, ~30 of which are since October, 2 of which are assigned. macports has 4300+ packages, ~850 active items on the tracker, ~400 of which are since October. There could be a variety of reasons for the difference, of course. Since I'm a fink user and this is a fink list, I'll just say it's because fink is so much more stable and well maintained! :) Just kidding, macports people, we're all friends here... -Brian ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
