Good day all, I started to work on wxGTK version 2.8.7 a few weeks ago. It seems to work fine. I ran it with my beta vlc. Anyway at the moment my build does not support cairo due to an error with gdk_cairo_create. This should be solved as soon as we'll move to gtk+2 >= 2.8.
Regards to the previous comments in the info file, here are some answers : * odbc and accessibility won't work on Mac or with the gtk version (source: wxwidgets devel / threads) * Default SDL for wxGTK does not work on Mac. Anyway I found this patch : http://www.algonet.se/~afb/wx/patch-soundsdl-28.diff. I changed it for the version 2.8.7 and no warnings / errors so it whould work * I built it as monolithic. What's better for Fink ? Some packages use special lib ? (the one for OpenGL for example ?) Tell me and I could give a try by disabling it. * I didn't deal with stuffs called gizmo or stl. Which feature exactly are you expecting to use ? * I didn't succeed to use the freetype219 version of pango1_xft.
