Remove the -Werror from ./configure or whatever Makefile.in has it. I'd say commit a PatchScript 'perl -pi -e' so we can get on with the testing. The symbol actually does exist in the support libs, just a missing #include for gst/gstutils.h I think. Some of the other gst-plugins- packages have the same bug (missing #include) but no -Werror, so they only give a compiler warning and continue building.
