The safe way would be to have both checked out, and test your updates in each. I, personally, have a separate fink tree in /pc which I set up by doing "./bootstrap /pc" from the fink CVS tree (which is set up like the wiki suggests as far as enabling pangocairo). - -- Benjamin Reed a.k.a.
