HI Lonny the first thing you do in gdb when you hit the problem is a stack trace: bt It will tell you the call chain. Your problem happens in strol_l which looks like a standard C lib function. As it should not contain bugs, it was probably called with an invalid pointer. You should find out, how is this. See the original source of your ffmpegthumbnailer. you can set a break point a little before and check all variables (using print variable name)
