Yes, this is an old problem. Often it gives bus errors or illegal instruction errors. The G5 build apparently uses ppc machine instructions that don't exist on G4. In principle, gmp has some code to ask for a less optimized build ("-force_cpusubtype_ALL" compiler flag), but this doesn't work as intended, probably because the flag is not used when the dylibs are linked. -- Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Fink-devel mailing list Fink-devel@lists.sourceforge.net http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.apple.fink.devel
