Hello,

I sent this request to the Eterm package maintainer back in August,
but haven't heard anything, so I thought I'd report it here.

There seems to be a problem with Fink's build of Eterm. stty is not
getting set up correctly, so "erase" is wrong, and "rows" and
"columns" are both 0

The former prevents curses apps from correctly handling "delete" and
the latter prevents terminal apps from knowing what the actual window
size is, if Eterm is started with "-g WxH".

Do you have any ideas what might be causing this? It doesn't matter
whether I start a new Eterm instance from the X11 menu, or from within
another terminal, stty isn't getting the right values. Debian's build
of Eterm does not have this problem.

Thank you
John
