I looked at this some more and realized that the gentoo package is
not using the stock tarball but rather a special branch for 8.5.2
named blt2.4z-8.5.2.tar.gz. I don't know how easy it would be to
redirect the download into the gentoo mirror system to obtain that
tarball. I am working on a MacPorts blt package with it first and will
take a look at fink next. FYI, it appears that the blt cvs is now
in heavy development (with MacOSX specific makefiles) for a blt 3.0
release. We might want to contact upstream and beg for as much backward
compatibility as possible so that pymol doesn't need a massive rewrite
for blt 3.0.
