Hi all,

In
http://fink.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/fink/experimental/jfmertens/crypto/finkinfo/
you'll find a proposed update to seamonkey (info + patch).

It won't build yet on 64bit, but I hope that otherwise no restrictions
are needed.
I tried it only on intel-10.5 _ with both gcc-4.0 and gcc-4.2 _ (plus
previous and not
that different versions on ppc).
To me the pkg seems better than any previous version...
Please test on as many machine-system combinations as possible !
(including variations
by different SetCC-SetCXX fields)

But there is a lot to test , beyond the build ; a.o., 1) upgrade-path
from seamonkey1 versions
(comments in info file), 2) functionality, 3) could something like
fink-package-precedence
be used to replace the line "Uncomment to check builddeps" at the end
of the patchscript ?
4) etc..

Also _ cleaner or better solutions to the issues in the patchscript
would be extremely
welcome _ up to now, most effort has been just to remove obsolete
things, straightening
out the patching process a bit, and minor cleaning up..

Thanks in advance for any help !
[Recall: the pkg belongs to "The Gnome Core Team" _ ie, basically to
this list _ ,
and is in dire needs of a maintainer ..]

PS: For who prefers to read a patchfile rather than a patchscript, the
patchscript itself creates
a file "patch" in %b. And the patchscript may still help to see where
things come from,
to group things by issue, and to see what problem one is trying to
address with each change..
