As far as binary package signing is concerned: I haven't tested it but
it is supported in the newest dpkg/apt in my experimental. As far as I
know there are no longer any issues in them, at least on i386/x86_64
Snow Leopard and Lion once Fink is fully bootstrapped -- there were some
problems using them for bootstrapping, as `dpkg` seemed to want an older
version of `dpkg` to be already around, and I hadn't completely fixed
them yet. Nonetheless, I have been using them on my Fink build for over
a year without problems. I have not set up any effort to systematically
test them on all supported versions of Fink.
