sensible-utils works for me.  The filename is consistent with every 
other Fink package on x86_64, and "darwin-x86_64" is our architecture 
string.

The error message (with that "system: x86_64-darwin" suggests that the 
problem is on your colleague's end.  Here is a diagnostic:

"dpkg --print-installation-architecture" should return "darwin-x86_64".  
If it doesn't on your colleague's machine, that would likely indicate 
that dpkg got misbuilt somehow (though I'd think that would have made 
the error show up for other packages, too).   Have them try to install 
something else and see if that error shows up.
