some of these tests would be fixed by a fixed install-info, although it would 
suffice to use the minimal-invasive change to dpkg that I put here: 
<https://github.com/fink/fink/pull/37>. Indeed, the main reason I committed the 
package with these test failures was that I accidentally tested it only while I 
had my fixed dpkg version installed. I have now reverted to the currently 
shipped dpkg and will commit a fixed automake1.11 package later.


Hence, I don't think that making further test runs with that dpkg or with your  
dpkg mods would be beneficial, as we'd not learn anything new. Of course if 
Hanspeter or anybody else wants to do this anyway, there is no harm; but I 
don't think there is a particular reason for that.
