I explicitly forbid you to make any further changes to any of my package 
files (.info or .patch) without my explicit permission.

The R modules are yours.  I have no particular say in what you do with 
them.  The Octave modules that _I_ maintain, on the other hand, are 
MINE, so don't try to lump the two together.

The _real_ point of contention is that you've broken my cvs histories 
without my permission.  I'm not sure why this became an issue all of a 
sudden, given that many of MY Octave modules have been sci/ for multiple 
*years*.  If you're trying to make things convenient for your 
job/clients/whatever, your license to act without permission stops with 
YOUR PACKAGES.

I'm willing to entertain update _suggestions_, and implement them at my 
convenience.  If you're in a hurry and can't wait for my schedule, then 
that's what the local tree is for.
