Greetings, list. I am running into difficulty installing Fink 0.2.4 from source under Darwin 1.3.1. I successfully installed this version once before with no problems, but had to remove it after accidentally upgrading to the newest (incompatible with Darwin 1.3.1) Fink. Anyway, here's what happens after running ./bootstrap.sh, during the install of gzip:

Writing package script prerm... dpkg-deb -b root-gzip-1.2.4a-5 /sw/fink/dists/stable/bootstrap/binary-darwin-powerpc Can't exec "dpkg-deb": No such file or directory at sw/bin/../lib/perl5/Fink/Services.pm line 180, <STD IN> line 1. ### dpkg-deb failed, exit code -1 Failed: can't create package gzip_1.2.4a-5_darwin-powerpc.deb Any idea what could be causing this? Strikes me as odd, especially since I have installed this very same setup less than a week ago... I never should have done that damned cvs package update!
